Australian Institute of Music

In 2019, a major refurbishment and renovation project was undertaken at the Australian Institute of Music in Surry Hills, Sydney. Collaborating closely with the architectural practices Fender Katsalidis and Design Office, Willow Grove Designs was entrusted with the complete refurnishing of the Institute.

The brief called for furniture solutions that combined high functionality and durability with an infusion of colour and vibrancy, aimed at creating a stimulating and enjoyable campus environment. Our approach balanced practical needs with creative expression, resulting in a dynamic and inspiring setting.

The finished space is a seamless blend of design and utility, providing students with a colourful and engaging atmosphere that supports and elevates their higher learning experience. This project stands as a testament to how thoughtful design can transform educational spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity and collaboration.
